Under my umbrella

Hi there

This is my DT inspiraton card for the Crafting Cafe January challenge.

The image is from The Stamping Boutique and made me think of zentangle doodles so I thought I'd zentangle my own background. I broke down the background into mini squares and did a different design in each - so easy and fun to try!

The sentiment reads "you can't see the rainbow without some rain"

Daisy Frame

Hi there

It's anything goes again at the crafty girls challenge and one of the sponsors is Dilly Beans. I've used the Daisy Frame digi for my DT inspiration card.

I love this image, it's so pretty and easy to pair with so many of my papers. I've used some American Craft patterned paper for the background and coloured the image with promarkers. I used kraft card as the base as I thought it worked well with the overall colours

Tic Tack Toe

Hi there

It's a tick tack toe challenge over at Whoopsi Daisy this week and this is my DT inspiration card. I thought the image was crying out to be water coloured. I've not tried water colouring before but am pleased with the result - it may well become a new favourite medium for me! I used distress inks for this project (spun sugar, vintage photo, walnut stain).

The tick tack toe elements are die cut, ribbon and circle although, digi, die cut and flowers also work.

Bug Me

Hi there

It's anything goes again at the 4 Krafty Girls challenge blog and I decided to use this image from Bugaboo for my DT inspiration project.

I felt like change from cardmaking so decided to do a post it note holder instead. Its very simple to make, just cut a piece of card which is long enough to wrap around your post it not pad and then decorate with patterned paper. Before attaching the image, which has been coloured with promarkers, I added little ribbon loops which are just large enough to slip a little pencil through.
